I had to travel to Ghana for some family matters and with work, the holidays, getting sick and a whole list of things, lets just say I didn’t have time to really sew in December like I wanted to.
Comes in Makerist with their annual $2 pattern sale and when I tell you that I saw this Rhea Dress I knew it would be perfect for my trip. However, I didn’t have time to sew it. One day this week I found a few hours to spare and sewed it up on a machine I had in the closet for a few years. It was working fine and then started acting up. I had no time to spare as it gets dark early here. I went to my cousins place and he uses an industrial machine. So I had my first time using it and it was amazing! I so need one!! (Hint hint…..anyone reading).
Enough about my trip let’s talk about this pattern and dress.
The pattern is the Rhea Dress Pattern by Tammy Handmade this dress is an effortlessly stylish, v-neck dress with a semi-fitted bodice and loose waist and hips for maximum comfort. The dress will stand out in your wardrobe as it has a gathered waist detail that flares out to a gorgeous ruffled hem. This sewing pattern is perfect for beginners as the dress is a slip-on style that has no tricky fastenings. (Cited from dress description).
