What can I say but I absolutely love this skirt! When I saw it on the site I added it to my wish list cart. Her name is Katia and she is your everyday girl friend pattern that you dress up or down. She will work for various fabric options and I can’t wait to try her in some fun suede, leather and Ankara Wax Print. I mean she is everything.
Katia is a wrap apron style skirt pattern that has a stylish slant in the front and darts by Lenaline Patterns. It ties at the waist with a hidden button closure inside.
I cut the size 16 and really liked the fit. I chose a heavy denim fabric that has no stretch. The fabric was a great choice for this pattern as I can see this being a year round skirt that is worn. Katia is a fav!
One of the things I think I will add next time is pockets and depending on my fabric for my hips I will go up a size in that area.
For styling I paired her with a solid turtleneck, brown boots and leopard shawl. You can style her with sneakers, heels a blouse and about anything….depending on where you are going! I plan on wearing her with a cute blazer and my flats for running around.
